To come to their aid, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and whatever weather conditions, 7,000 volunteer rescuers spread over 219 stations are ready to intervene.
Present on 19,000 km of coastlines, they perform first aid and bring the injured and shipwrecked to shore.
