A band leader returns from a lengthy USO tour and stops off at a stateside war plant for a quick show.

Moore, a poor relation of the plant's owner, persuades Kyser to hire his daughter, Miller, to replace his vocalist who has quit the show for matrimony.

Kyser falls for Miller while playing a series of musical numbers.
