Nothing ever happens in Montpaillard. But, one night, the village warden who tried to stop a prowler, is beaten up. For the mayor, Mr. Dubenoît, the author of this bad move can only be the poacher Badger, his worst enemy.
Badger is therefore thrown into prison. Soon, the real culprit turns himself in. However, Badger is not about to be released.
