The Clown at Midnight « Movie from 1999

A group of student volunteers are gathered by their drama teacher (Margot Kidder, "The Amityville Horror") to restore an abandoned theater. But the old hall holds disturbing memories for Kate, whose mother was murdered there 15 years ago by a stranger dressed as a clown.

Now, the students find themselves stalked by the same murderous clown.
