Sun Records, as a label, was one of the founding fathers of Rock and Roll. Sam Phillips had the vision of what Rock and Roll could, would, and might become.
And no-one else had that. These weren’t songs that were incredibly difficult to play. They were exciting, short, basic, fun, tended to have a simple message, the reason it became so successful, is because people could emulate it.
