This drama centers around the bitterness of loss and gnawing resentment. Noel and his second wife Gina are forced to take in his son from a previous marriage, Eric.

Eric seems to perennially take on the role of the rotten kid. The reckless Eric and the dutiful and talented Sonny (Gina's son) get involved in a car accident, afterwards life drastically changes.
