During World War II, the Soviets discover that the German "Auerge" is developing atomic weapons. Scientist Katherine Stuhr works for the "Auerge" but does not realize the threat her scientific research poses.

Meanwhile, Vlad Volnyi is recruited by Soviet secret services to kidnap an employee of the "Auerge" and deliver them to Moscow.
