Tom Cruise and Jerry Bruckheimer teased fans about the ‘Top Gun’ sequel.
Jerry posted a cool pic with Tom on Twitter on Jan. 26, captioning the photo, “Just got back from a weekend in New Orleans to see my old friend @TomCruise and discuss a little Top Gun 2.” Hopefully they discussed a lot of Top Gun 2! We need that sequel NOW!
The 53-year-old action star is set to reprise his role as Lieutenant Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell from the 1986 film about fighter pilots at America's combat flying school in Miramar.
Producer Bruckheimer, 70, has revealed he and Cruise met up at the weekend in New Orleans to discuss plans for the action blockbuster, which was confirmed last June to be in development.
The original movie became a classic among film fans, including oscar winning soundtrack by Berlin
A date for shooting on the sequel has not been confirmed, and Cruise is currently filming 'Jack Reacher: Never Go Back' and thriller 'Mena'.
