Pamela Anderson will be wearing swimsuits again. The 48-year-old actress has joined the cast of the ‘Baywatch’ movie.
Pamela –who played lifeguard C.J. Parker in the original TV series from 1992 to 1997- has signed up to be in the upcoming film.
New co-star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was thrilled by the news. The movie star wrote on Instagram: "She introduced the world to "CJ Parker" and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation – for the most successful TV show of all time. A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #BAYWATCH cast. We couldn’t have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us! (sic)"
The movie will be directed by ‘Horrible Bosses’ film-maker Seth Gordon, and the script was written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift.
The plot revolves around a hero, played by Dwayne, who teams up with a young hunk played by Zac Efron, in order to protect a Californian beach from environmental destruction caused by an oil tycoon.
The film will be released in May 2017.
