Beverley Callard mourns dog

everley Callard has been left "brokenhearted" by the death of her dog.

The \'Coronation Street\' actress\' beloved pooch Jeffrey has passed away at the age of just three following a battle with cancer.

She tweeted: "On Friday we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Jeffrey only 3 years old, but he had terminal cancer! We are broken hearted! I know my Twitter friends loved him too. God bless x (sic)"

The 62-year-old star received a message of support from her co-star Simon Gregon, who plays her on-screen son.

He replied: "So sorry Bev night god bless Jeffery I loved you very much xx (sic)"

Fellow \'Corrie\' actress Kym Marsh\'s family were also saddened by the news.

Kym tweeted: "Oh no I\'m so sorry Beverley. My David loves him! He sends his love. Sleep tight gorgeous boy! X"

Former \'Coronation Street\' actresses Hayley Tamaddon, Jacqueline Leonard, and Vicky Entwhistle also reached out to her friend.

Hayley wrote: Aww Bev I\'m so sorry [crying and heart emojis] (sic)"
