Corrie's Beverley Callard wants McDonalds reunion in 2020

everley Callard wants her TV family back on \'Coronation Street\'.

The 62-year-old actress - who first appeared as matriarch Liz McDonald two decades ago - would love to see her on-screen clan back on the cobbles in 2020 for a reunion 10 years after they were last seen together on the show.

She told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "I so wish the producers would get us all back together. I know the fans would love it."

Charlie Lawson - who plays Liz\'s husband Jim - returned for a brief stint last year, and Beverley hopes next year they can appear with their on-screen sons Steve (Simon Gregson) and Andy (Nicholas Cochrane) one more time.

The family first debuted on the ITV show back in 1989, and have become a favourite with fans.

Although Liz and Simon are still \'Corrie\' mainstays, Nicholas hasn\'t appeared in a decade, and he hasn\'t been a full-time cast member since 1997.

Beverley added: "Charlie came back last year for a brief while, which was fantastic, and we are hoping it will happen again next year."

The soap star also revealed she has no plans to retire as long as bosses keep giving her interesting scripts and stories.

She said: "As long as they keep writing great scripts for me, I\'ll stay because I love it. I don\'t think actors ever retire. You just keep going. It\'s very intense with the long hours, but I love it."

Last year, Beverley urged breakfast show host Lorraine Kelly to campaign for a McDonalds reunion and get the four back together in Weatherfield.

She said at the time: "Listen, you\'ve got to bully the producer and the writers. I would love Charlie to come back and I know he would love to, too.

"But we so want Nick, who played Andy, to come back as well. We\'d love the four of us to all be together again."
