Simone Biles is just 24 years old and is already considered one of the best gymnasts of all time.
Also known as "The GOAT", the American gymnast is currently competing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
She's perhaps the most famous gymnast nowadays.
Sadly, just a few hours ago the world got the shocking surprise of her withdrawing from the team final.
The U.S had most of its hopes on Biles' back.
However, the young gymnast surprised the world by quitting the team final.
Even though she had already performed.
After her vault rotation, she left the floor with a trainer and came back in warmup gear.
Everyone was wondering whether Simone had injured herself, and everyone was fearing the worst.
Still, she stayed to cheer up her teammates.
The U.S women's gymnastics team ended up in second place after the Russian federation.
Biles finally spoke and explained what happened:
"I'm OK, just super frustrated how the night played out but super proud of these girls that stepped up and did what they needed to do. And now we're Olympic silver medalists so it's something that we'll cherish forever."Simone Biles
Jordan Chiles, Grace McCallum, and Suni Lee received support from her and won the silver medal.
"you guys need to relax, you'll be fine without me. Go out there,
Kick some butt just like you've done in training and just lay it out on the floor and see what happens."
Still, people wondered what had happened to the promising young girl
Simone stated that she feels physically okay, but she's struggling mentally with the pressure.
"I'm in shape, but emotionally, that kind of varies on the time and moment. Coming to the Olympics and being head star isn't an easy feat, so we're just trying to take it one day at a time and we'll see."
The fans are still holding hopes to see her competing in the individual finals on July 29th.
She just declared that she'll be taking it "day by day".
