Jessica Springsteen is leaving Tokyo with a shiny silver medal.
Her first Olympic medal came after the final equestrian competition
On Saturday, August 7th.
Back in July, when she received the news and confirmed that she was going to the Olympics
She shared on her social media her excitement:
"Been dreaming of this since I can remember! Endless gratitude for my team, friends and family for helping me make this a reality. Honored to be a part of this team with @laurakraut @teamkpf and @mclainward.official. There's no horse in the world I'd rather be on this journey with, thank you Don! You're my horse of a lifetime...Let's go USA!"
The daughter of super famous rockstar Bruce Springsteen
Had been training for many years to attend the Olympic Games.
She went with her Belgian Warmblood stallion Don Juan van de Donkhoeve.
She competed in 2012 and 2016 but never made it to the Olympics.
Still, her journey in Tokyo didn't kick off in the best way possible.
Jessica, who is now one of the youngest champions
Failed to make it to the individual jumping finals.
In a competition which was also her Olympic debut.
Happy for her, the U.S jumping team made it to the final.
The team also includes two seasoned champions
Gold medalists McLain Ward and Laura Kraut.
Moreover, McLain and Laura made history as being the oldest women to win an Olympic medal.
When asked about her family, Jessica revealed that she facetimed with them:
"I FaceTimed them really quickly, they were all screaming and I don't think we understood a word anyone was saying. I just saw them in their Team USA gear, I couldn't make any of it out but I know they were all excited."
