Donda is perhaps the most long-awaited album of Kanye West.
Last year, the album had a release date set
And fans were impatiently waiting for it.
However, Kanye suffered a massive mental breakdown
That took all of the attention from the upcoming album
As this sad episode happened a week before the release.
Even though the media speculated this episode was all prepped
And that it was part of a marketing strategy,
Things didn’t turn out so well.
Kanye retired from public life, and even his marriage crumbled after this episode.
Now, more than a year later, the album has finally seen the light.
During the last month, Kanye prepared three massive events
In which he was supposed to drop the album.
Still, as a self-described perfectionist, he didn’t release his work
Until now.
The 27 songs album is now available on all sorts of music platforms,
Like Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube.
Something that has made fans happy is the fact that Jay Z is still on this final version.
As the rapper faced criticism after the third listening party
In which he replaced Jay-Z's verse with the rapper DaBaby.
DaBaby has been facing a lot of backlash after sending
Hurtful and derogatory comments on the LGBTQ+ community and people living with HIV.
“Donda” features these artists:
The Weeknd and Lil Baby ("Hurricane")
Travis Scott and Baby Keem ("Praise God")
Young Thug ("Remote Control")
The late Pop Smoke ("Tell the Vision")
Jay Electronica and the Lox ("Jesus Lord")
Kid Cudi ("Moon")
Roddy Ricch ("Pure Souls")
And Ariana Grande ("Donda").
It is important to notice that there’s a version of the song “Jail” featuring DaBaby,
The song is currently not available due to management problems with DaBaby’s team.
Still, the rapper assured he’s not taking “his brother” out of the album.
