The video for Jesy Nelson newest single came out last Friday, a video in which
she looks a lot more darker than she actually is and wearing a lot of things that are associated
with black culture and black women in specific, and to top it all
she spent half of the video throwing hand signs and acting "aggressive" a trait that is often
associated with black women in a bad way, while also using a crew of black male dancers in durags
to pose in front of them acting "bad", and using them as an example of the "bad boys" she likes.
Of course, people have a lot to say about this, because this is simply not acceptable,
coming from someone who has been in the public eye for so long, to not know that one simply
don't act or look other race for clout, is just not ok,
but Nelson's response was saying that she is aware that she's a white woman, but she
simply didn't know it was bad of her to appear darker artificially.
This is essentially a lie since she has been blocking and deleting comments of Instagram coming
from people that remarked her skin getting darker and her aesthetic changing.
Also, after she just sat there and laughed as Nicki Minaj bashed Leigh Anne Pinnock in an Instagram live
calling her jealous and a liar, Jesy being known for being vehemently against bullying
(even dropping a documentary bullying and how affects people) and calling herself a victim of it as well
is just simply hypocritical of her to let this other artist bash her ex-bandmate and call her names,
just to avoid taking account of the things she has done and her racist behavior.
Let's hope she grows as a person, and let's see if she can demonstrate she's sorry.
