The Grammy Awards is one of the most anticipated ceremonies of the year.
The awards always celebrate and reward the best in music.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the ceremony and many others have been delayed or even cancelled.
Thus, on January 5, it was announced that the annual Grammy Awards ceremony would be postponed.
However, two weeks later, the new date for the ceremony has been announced.
Through its social networks, The Recording Academy shared that the 2022 Grammy Awards will
be held live on Sunday, April 3.
In addition, it will be at 8: pm ET from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
In fact, Comedian Trevor Noah, host of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," will again host the event.
"We are excited to take the GRAMMYs to Las Vegas for the very first time and to put on a world class show."
Harvey Mason Jr, executive director of the Recording Academy, said in a statement.
"From the moment we announced the postponement of the original show date, we have been inundated
with heartfelt messages of support and solidarity from the artist community.
We are humbled by their generosity and grateful for their unwavering commitment to the GRAMMY Awards
and the Academy’s mission."
This is the second year in a row that the Grammys have had to change dates due to the spread of the coronavirus.
The postponement of the Grammy Awards has led to changes in the schedules of other award shows.
The CMT Music Awards, a program where fans vote for their favorite country music artists, was supposed
to take place on April 3.
However, the event will be moved to a later date and aired on CBS, according to the network.
