'Under the Banner of Heaven' new FX true crime series

'Under the Banner of Heaven' adapts a non-fiction book of the same name, following the

story of a murder committed by two fundamentalist Mormons supposedly under

God's mandates.

Detective Pyre's life as a Mormon (interpreted by Andrew Garfield), is suddenly

shaken while he investigates the murder of a woman, and suddenly discovers

that the church is involved in this terrible acts.

For someone who is an active member of a religion, faith is everything, and learning

something as horrible as the people you thought were good committing murder,

in the name of YOUR faith, more specifically, is not something easy to live through.

Sadly, 'Under the Banner of Heaven' is not a fiction story but something that actually happened

involving real people, which makes everything even more repulsing.

This is not the first time, nor will be the last, that someone uses and manipulate faith for

self advantage, that way they can live a peaceful life without guilt, convincing

themselves that they did in the name of god.

If it's anything like the source material, and with this amazing cast they gathered,
