Ryan Murphy is making a brand new series for FX, a live action adaptation of the comic series 'The Beauty' by Image Comics, and ever since the first announcement back in mid late 2024, the production has been adding more and more starts to its cast.
The first cast members were usual Ryan Murphy collaborator Evan Peters ('American Horror Story'), Anthony Ramos ('In The Heights'), Jeremy Pope ('Hollywood') and Ashton Kutcher ('That 70's Show'), with Oscar nominee Isabella Rossellini ('Conclave') joining later.
So far, Rebecca Hall ('The Night House'), David Pittu, Samuel Leclerc and Bella Hadid joined 'The Beauty' in minor roles, with this being the first role for Bella Hadid.
Murphy's work is consistently polarizing, with some of his shows gathering great reviews while others get nothing but dirt thrown at them for how many flaws and inconsistencies they have, and with a plot like this, that could easily be a season of 'American Horror Story' or an episode in the 'American Horror Stories' antology, we don't know what to expect from this.
The series will follow a contemporary world and a not so distant future where a new epidemic is breaking loose in a beauty obsessed world. A new STD that will grant anyone infected with beauty and perfection, of course at a deadly cost, and the people that will be willing to sacrifice it all in order to be perfect.
We don't know much about the characters that our main actors will be playing, but we do know that there will be conspiracies behind this epidemic, and Murphy loves a good mystery in his work. The series will probably be hitting hulu streaming services by the end of this year.
