One of the most famous series of this year, not to say that it is in fact the most famous, is The Last of Us. The series adapts the PlayStation video game starring Joel and Ellie. Each episode of this series full of viruses and zombies was better than the previous one, getting high scores from critics and fans, so its season finale left us asking for even more. Season 2 of The Last of Us is a fact, as Hbo Max, the makers of the fiction confirmed it a few days after its premiere, and besides, there is still part of the video game to be adapted to the screen, however, it seems that the wait for these new episodes will be longer than expected.
So said Francesca Orsi, the head of the drama genre at the HBO network. She has confirmed what many of us feared, especially during these last weeks marked by the paralysis of several projects due to the writers' strike, caused by the war between the creatives and the artificial intelligences. According to Orsi, both The Last of Us Season 2 and other HBO projects were going to arrive for 2025, although now "there are some doubts" and it is "too early" to make a decision. Undoubtedly, it is a very hard blow for those who thought that the filming of the series was very close.
On the other hand, one of the news of the week is the revelation by Bloomberg (Jason Schreier) that the development of The Last of Us multiplayer for PS5 is not going quite right. Without going any further, it turns out that Bungie has inspected the project and deemed its viability questionable.
