Singed looks weak and prostrate in a chair while a blood transfusion is in progress. That is the predominant image in the intriguing official teaser for the second season of Arcane, the animated series produced by Netflix and Riot Games that expands the universe of the video game League of Legends. After three years of waiting after a suspenseful ending, the fiction returns to the story of rivalries and conflict in a dystopian world with new episodes that will arrive on the platform in November 2024.
With the focus of the story on Vi and Jinx, sisters played by Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell respectively, the series chronicles their journey through a world divided between the opulent city of Piltover and the downtrodden Zaun. The season preview anticipates more action and fantasy, elements that elevated the first installment of the project to success. In addition, this second part will bring to the scene new characters from the video games that join the champions Caitlyn (Elsa Davoine), Ekko (Reed Shannon), Jayce (Kevin Alejandro), Singed (Brett Tucker), Heimerdinger (Mick Wingert) and Viktor (Harry Lloyd).
Developed by Christian Linke and Alex Yee, and produced by French animation studio Fortiche in collaboration with Riot Games, Arcane is based on the League of Legends game, released in 2009. The series managed to exceed expectations, with the creation of a narrative universe that can be visited by both players and viewers outside the original source.
In fact, with the arrival of the second season, fans are expecting a continuation of the story that maintains the quality and depth that characterized the first season, which everyone knows for its high standard in terms of narrative and animation quality.
