The turbulent four-month marriage of reality star Katie Price and businessman Lee Andrews appears headed for collapse.
Katie arrived back at Gatwick Airport without her wedding ring following a dramatic trip to Dubai.
During her time in the United Arab Emirates, the former glamour model confronted her husband through a phone link at Al Awir Central Prison and met face-to-face with an ex-partner who accused him of being a conman.
The drama escalated over the past few weeks after Andrews failed to show up for a planned joint interview on Good Morning Britain.
He subsequently vanished for 11 days, sending Katie a bizarre video claiming that individuals had "bundled him into a van" and tied his hands.
While Katie initially claimed authorities were interrogating him on suspicion of espionage, Dubai police later confirmed they detained him over a private civil matter involving major financial debts.
During her high-stakes trip to the Middle East, Katie visited the notorious Al Awir Central Prison three times to uncover the truth about her husband's legal status.
Because of strict security protocols, she could not see him face-to-face. Instead, she had to speak to him on a phone link from half a mile away across a barbed-wire wall.
During these conversations, Andrews finally admitted that he faces a strict travel ban.
While Katie was initially prepared to pay a four-figure sum to secure his release, prison officials informed her that Andrews must clear total debts exceeding £100,000 before the government lifts the ban.
Sources close to the television personality note that as a previously bankrupt individual, Katie does not have the means or the desire to bail him out.
The decisive turning point for Katie occurred during an explosive "woman-to-woman" meeting with Andrews' ex-wife, Dina Taji.
Taji, who was in a relationship with Andrews for three and a half years, met with Katie in Dubai to warn her about his past behavior.
Taji revealed that she initiated the legal action that landed Andrews in prison after discovering he had allegedly forged her signature to secure a £200,000 mortgage in her name without her knowledge.
Andrews continues to deny these claims from prison.
However, the meeting heavily shook Katie, who filmed parts of the conversation for her podcast, The Katie Price Show, and admitted to fans that the discussion opened her eyes.
