In 2014, the first installment of The Maze Runner, the teen sci-fi film adapting the novel by author James Dashner, hit theaters around the world and eventually ended up becoming a film trilogy. Now, just six years after the release of the last film, it is official that they are working on a reboot of the franchise. In a surprise move, reports surfaced that 20th Century Studios (Avatar, Deadpool) is in talks with screenwriter Jack Paglen to write the new script. Paglen previously worked on Alien: Covenant and the feature film Transcendence, starring Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean).
