R Kelly has lost the sex abuse trial and has been found guilty of several crimes.
The 54-year-old singer received accusations of exploiting his fame

This wasn’t the first time the singer had to face a trial for sexual misconduct,
As he faced a trial for possession of child pornography in 2008,
However, that time the charges didn’t stick.
This time, things were different.
As the Jury of New York had multiple survivors testifying against the singer,
Who plead as not-guilty the whole time.
Moreover, he has been under the jury’s custody since his arrest in 2019,
Even though he’s still denying the accusations.
The victims were Aaliyah, Jerhonda, Stephanie, Sonja, Zel, and Faith,
Some of them were using their real names, some of them were using a pseudonym.
Furthermore, the New York court saw more than 40 people testify,
Both women and men.
One of the victims stated that she met him when she was only 17 years old.
And that the singer had:
“He humiliated me, he degraded me, he scared me. I'll never forget the way he treated me."
Another one of the victims declared that R Kelly locked her in a room for days,
Drugged and sexually abused her.
One of the victims also said that she met the singer when she was 16,
And that he approached her after learning she was a big fan.
She revealed that she was 16 at that time, while the singer was 42 at the time
She showed him her ID, showing that she was a minor,
But R Kelly “Didn’t seem to care”
After hearing all of the testimonies, the jury found the singer guilty of racketeering
and eight charges of sex trafficking.
The jury will dictate the sentence in May.
