Loki's big return to Disney+ screens is a few months away. The series starring Tom Hiddleston will premiere its second season in October this year and to generate more anticipation, the platform shared the first glimpse in an official poster. The graphic shows multiple versions of the Marvel villain as he runs in circles over Miss Minutes, the terrifying character that appeared in previous episodes. "100,000 minutes to go," the streaming service wrote in fact, in the image caption.
For now, it is unknown how exactly the story that captivated the audience in 2021 will continue; but it is clear that the task of the God of Lies will be to fix the mess he caused together with Sylvie (his female variant), played by Sophia Di Martino. As recalled, both took the life of He Who Remains, another variant of Kang, the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors).
The TV fiction follows Loki, son of Odin and brother of Thor, in the events after Avengers: Endgame. The protagonist is a version of him after being captured in the battle of New York, in which he faced the Avengers under the orders of Thanos. He still carries the immaturity and malice that characterized him in the first Marvel Studios movies, so it was revealing for him to have to learn everything he had to live through afterwards. In fact, in the second season, the villain will have to take responsibility for his actions and find a way to fix the multiverse amidst the chaos. The last seen of Loki hinted that the protagonist casually moved to another reality, due to the fact that Mobius (Owen Wilson) and B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) no longer recognize him in the final episode.
The second season will begin airing its episodes on October 6.
