In a highly anticipated development for fans of video game adaptations, Prime Video has just added the series Fallout to its catalog. The series, based on the acclaimed video game franchise of the same name, plunges into a post-apocalyptic world where survivors face an environment ravaged by radiation, inhabited by mutant creatures and unimaginable dangers. Directed by Jonathan Nolan and produced by Kilter Films in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, this production promises to take viewers on an odyssey of survival and rediscovery. A year after Universal Pictures presented the first look at footage from its upcoming two-part musical Wicked at CinemaCon, Jon M. Chu returns to Las Vegas for the official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners. Chu will be the guest of honor at an annual filmmakers luncheon during which he will receive a Cultural Impact in Filmmaking Award for a "visionary approach to storytelling and his commitment to representing diverse voices and perspectives." Neon revealed the first teaser and, along with the new trailer, the official synopsis is also out: "Unwillingly, 17-year-old Gretchen leaves her American home to live with her father, who has just moved to a resort in the German Alps with his new family. Upon arriving at her future residence, she encounters the strange boss of her new home."

The film Joker: Folie à Deux is one of the most anticipated movie events of the year, and given the high violence content of its predecessor, it's no wonder that the sequel, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, has received an R (or "adults only") rating from the Motion Picture Association, it was reported Wednesday. The MPA's daily newsletter, explains that the reasons are due to "some strong violence, language throughout, some sexuality, and brief full nudity" throughout the film. The features suggest a reduction in explicit content unlike 2019's Joker, whose categorization is "strong bloody violence, disturbing behavior, brief sexual language and imagery."
