Iñárritu co-wrote the script with his frequent collaborator Nicolás Giacobone (Bardo), along with Alexander Dinelaris (also a co-writer of Birdman) and award-winning playwright and journalist Sabina Berman. Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment are developing the project.

Jamie Lee Curtis, who is reprising her role as Tess Coleman celebrated the end of filming for the Freakier Friday on her Instagram account and, in addition to thanking the opportunity to reunite with Lindsay Lohan, which is also coming back as Anna Coleman on set.
